Hey!
I decided to write a story about a hamster called Teeny who was in a extreme hoarding case. I got inspired to write it after reading these:

Anyways, here's the first chapter:

Fear. It was like a sickness, like a thick fog descending everywhere. Every day was a struggle to live. One would need to steal food from the other hamsters in order to survive. Many had died from trying, but it was our only hope. I was a young hamster then, oblivious to the harsh world I was born in. Mama was good to us, unlike the other mothers who abandoned their pups after giving birth to them. She would give her only bits of sunflower seeds and corn to us to ensure that we would not die from hunger, sacrificing her own health for us. My world was a tiny storage box, not even fifty square inches of floorspace, shared with twelve other hamsters. From the time I was born, I had to always be alert of my surroundings, ready to dash off to a corner from Siewmai, the biggest hamster of all. He always bullied the other hamsters and would mercilessly kill them when they tried to steal from his plentiful food hoard. There were three rules that Mama always said were necessary to survive: Run from Siewmai, never anger an older or stronger hamster and always have hope. I faithfully followed these rules, unaware that they would be the key to the future.

It was a typical morning, the few rays of the sun that managed to peek in from the small window of the room that we were kept in, woke me up from my restless sleep.

“Tiny! Tiny! C’mon, play with us!” Teensy, my sister that was born right after me beckoned. Teensy was my closest sibling and would always make up creative games to let the little ones have some fun before they matured in this cruel place. Some other young pups were chasing each other around, our only form of entertainment. I yawned and rubbed my eyes. I had dreamed of waking up in a humongous cage filled with all sorts of things that I desired, a wheel, lots of bedding to burrow in, all sorts of enrichment and proper yummy food. Sighing, I thought to myself, “You can never have such a life, Tiny. It’s impossible.” I got up on my paws and wearily trudged over to the energetic young hamsters that were squealing excitedly. Plastering a smile on my face, I joined in a few rounds of catching, warily keeping a distance from the snoring Siewmai in his claimed corner. Some of the older hamsters started to pester me and Teensy.

 

“Can we play Truth or Dare please?” Asked one.

 

“Yea, we haven’t played it since ages!” Chirped in another.

 

“Pwease pweety pweash!” A young pup who looked not more than a month-old chimed in.

 

Teensy eventually gave in and grabbed a mouldy piece of bedding from the dirty floor. Spinning it around, it slowed to a stop, pointing right at me. I chose a dare, because my bold spirit would never want to seem like a coward.

 

“Okay, I dare you to steal a piece of food from Siewmai’s hoard,” The hamster who had suggested playing the game ordered. My heart slowed to a stop as I heard those words. No, I couldn’t turn down a dare! But Mama would not like it! Well, it doesn’t break any of the rules Mama said to follow, and besides Siewmai is sleeping so this is your perfect chance. Just a few darts here and there and done, the hamsters would all admire you for your bravery. A million thoughts raced through my head. Taking a few steps forward, I made my decision.

Okay so I know it isn't really a complete chapter, but I promise I'll write more tomorrow!

I can do this, I thought to myself. 

 

Taking several shaky breaths, I straightened my wobbly legs and prepared to take off. Worry filled my heart, but I determinedly pushed them away. Taking a deep breath, I started off at top speed, sprinting at the greatest speed my legs could carry me. My heart beat faster and faster, and time seemed to move slower than before. What if Siewmai caught me? What if he killed me like he had done to other hamsters? Anxious thoughts hammered my brain like bullets. Distracted, I had not realised that I was getting close to where Siewmai lay. I desperately tried to stop myself, flailing my limbs and digging my claws into the rough surface of the floor, but it was too late. The young hamsters watching covered their faces with their paws, wishing to avoid witnessing one of their companions perish before their eyes. 

 

 

"<poop> I'm gonna die, this was a bad idea" I whispered to myself as my small body slammed into Siewmai's bulbous one. My fur stood on ends and with my heart in my throat, I scrambled up and tried to dash away. Taking a few bounds, I suddenly felt a sharp pain at my left hind paw. Siewmai was clutching it, his teeth sunk in deeply.  He wrenched his teeth from my flesh, causing blood to flow out in rivulets. My mind was hazy with pain, and the world was spinning in circles.  I held my hand to the wound, but no matter the pressure I applied, the blood still gushed out between my "fingers" and oozed under my paw. Soon, everything turned black.

It was like my nightmare which constantly taunted me in my dreams. I was falling, falling in a spinning black hole. There was nothing at all, like an empty void. I looked down and saw a thin string attached to the top, and lunged towards it. I managed to clasp it with my right paw and dangled from it. My hand was slipping, but I gathered all my strength and yanked my body onto it. Mama and my siblings stood at the top, helpless, watching. My screaming muscles could not bear it any longer, I had to let go. I gave out a guttural scream, but nothing come out of my mouth. There was no way out of this agony. Sweat trickled down my fur, my arms were being tortured. With no other option but to let go, I did.

 

“Always have hope,” Mama’s voice echoed against the seemingly endless void. I can’t, I tried so hard but I failed. It's impossible Mama. 

 

“You’ll see. Let yourself fall for now little one.” 

 

I stopped flailing my limbs and curled up into a tight ball, accepting those words, letting them coax me to an unsettled rest .

Sorry for the short length of this one I'll try to make the next parts longer in the future =)
