harassment.
Leaning back on the uncomfortable back rest on the bus seat, Isabella closed her eyes, taking in the noisy surroundings around her.
After a couple minutes, she felt the bus stop at next destination, seeing a few people enter inside looking for seats.
“Hey. Is this seat taken?” She heard a gruff voice suddenly speak, as she looked to the side and saw a man, probably in his mid 20’s, smirking down at her.
“Um.." Isabella wasn’t sure what to say. Her bag was literally on the seat, which meant that it was already taken.
“I guess it isn’t.” The man chuckled, grabbing her bag and handing it to her, before sitting down.
Isabella stared at him, annoyance visible on her face, as she scooted closer to the window, feeling her head spin due to his heavy cigarette and cologne aroma.
The bus then drove off again after the last passenger got in.
Isabella looked out the window, trying to focus on anything else but the man’s stench, as she tapped her fingers on her thighs.
“So what’s your name, pretty girl?” She heard the guy suddenly ask, making chills run up her spine.
She wasn’t in the mood for any conversation, so she ignored him, her head resting on the window sill.
Suddenly she felt his tattooed hand on her clothed thigh causing her to gasp in surprise.
Feeling her heart race at his uncomfortable action, she anxiously wondered when the next bus stop was.
“You know, you’re really pretty” He whispered, his hot breathe fanning her ear, his grasp on her thigh tightening.
Isabella felt suffocated in the small space between the man and the window, but she regained her composure before speaking.
“Stop. I have a boyfriend.” She spoke confidently, glaring at him. He chuckled in response.
“He doesn’t have to know.” He leered, his dark eyes trailing down at her cleavage.
The bus came to a sudden halt again, making Isabella sigh in relief as she quickly grabbed her bag, and scurried off of her seat and out of the bus.
Breathing heavily, she still felt his burning touch on her thigh and she hated it.
“Where are you of to now, cutie?”
Feeling her stomach churn with the realization of who it was, she quickly walked away, her heartbeat echoing in her ears.
Isabella turned the corner, cautiously glancing behind her, her eyes widening when she realized the man was following her. She felt apprehensive, her mind racing, as she desperately tried to figure out what to do.
She suddenly noticed a trio of males around her age, talking and laughing among themselves, as they walked towards her.
One of the males suddenly looked straight ahead, his unique eyes making contact with Isabella’s anxious ones.
She suddenly got an idea.
“Oh my gosh! Babe, is that you?” Isabella smiled, as she quickly scurried towards him, her arms wrapping around his waist before she spoke to him.
“Please just go along with it. There’s this guy who’s following me. I’m really scared” She whispered, hoping he would take a hint.
She looked up at him due to their apparent height difference, her eyes making contact with his different colored irides. He warmly smiled.
“I didn’t expect to see you here babe. How’s your day been?” He thankfully played along, his fingers interlocking with hers, as they kept on walking. “I’m in the mood for some ice cream. What do you say?”
Isabella discreetly glanced at the man, who scoffed, muttering something under his breathe before sauntering away from their sight.
She deeply sighed, closing her eyes, thankful that she could finally breathe normally again.
“Are you okay?” She heard the guy ask, his voice soft and sweet.
She nodded her head, smiling up at him. “Yeah, I’m okay now. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it.”
“I’m glad I was around to help. If anything like that were to ever happen, always ask for help. No one should feel unsafe” He smiled, his pearly white teeth almost blinding her.
Isabella nodded her head, glancing down at her shoes, until she realized that she was still grasping his hand.
“Oh sorry..” She awkwardly laughed, releasing her hand from his as she bit her inner lip.
She heard him chuckle, before clearing his throat, “What’s your name? I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before.”
“Oh, it’s Isabella. What’s yours?”
“It’s Zach. Your name’s pretty.” He smiled, his hands in his jean pockets.
Isabella felt her face flush and she didn’t know why. “Thanks. Your name is pretty too..”
“Yo Zach. Are we heading out now? We’re going to be late for the game!”
Turning her head to the left, it finally dawned on her that Zach’s friends were still here this whole time.
“Ah shoot, you’re right Dylan. Just give me a minute..” Zach said to the shorter guy with dyed blonde hair before turning his gaze back to Isabella. “Listen, it was really nice meeting you, but we have a game at our college in a bit and I really have to go.”
“Oh I understand. You guys better hurry on then. I don’t want to keep you waiting!”
“Do you live around here?” Zach asked his eyes staring at her boring brown ones intently.
“Sort of.. I do go to Dionne College.” Isabella answered, making Zach gasp.
“No way! I do too! Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you there a couple of times.” Zach said, as Isabella chuckled.
“That’s really cool! Are you guys in the basketball team? I did hear that there’s a game today.” She smiled as Zach nodded.
“Yeah there is one today. Um, you wouldn’t want to perhaps come along? We could use more school spirit.” He nervously smiled, rubbing the back of his neck.
Isabella’s smile faltered, not wanting to ruin the moment with her rejection. “I would really love to Zach, but I have a doctor’s appointment today that I can’t miss. I’m sorry.”
Zach nodded his head, before smiling. “It’s no problem, I understand. Well we should start heading out now then. It was really nice meeting you, Isabella.”
He extended his hand out, as she quickly got the hint and shook it.
“It was nice meeting you too Zach. Thanks again for your help. I wish you guys luck on your game! Make our school proud!”
Zach chuckled, his deep dimples prominent on his tan skin. “Maybe, I’ll see you around school. Don’t be a stranger.” He joked making Isabella laugh.
“Totally! Maybe we could even hang out sometime if you would like to.” Isabella smiled, as he nodded in response.
She couldn’t help but gaze at his lovely eyes, loving the way they complimented his pretty face.
“Your eyes.. They’re pretty.” She spoke, making him smile down at the floor, his cute dimples present again.
“Thanks. Don’t be surprised, but I’m not wearing colored contacts. I have-”
“Heterochromia. Yes, I know what that is. I think they are lovely.” She smiled warmly.
She noticed the light shade of pink that suddenly dusted his cheeks, as he smiled. “Thank you. I don’t get that often. People usually think I’m wearing colored contacts or just think they’re ugly in general.”
Slightly scoffing, Isabella shook her head. “Don’t listen to those people. I think they make you more attractive.”
Zach quickly looked down at the floor, but Isabella noticed the shy smile on his face, his cheeks heating up.
“I-uh. Thanks” He shyly said, before clearing his throat, looking around and seeing his friends smirk up at him.
“Come on cutie. Let’s go now.” The same short guy winked at Zach, before smiling at Isabella.
“We’re sorry to interrupt, but we really got to go now. Coach is going to be so <cheesed> if we’re even half a second late.”
“Of course. I’m sorry to keep you all waiting. Good luck on your game!” Isabella waved at the trio of friends before smiling up at Zach. “Hopefully we’ll see each other around.”
Zach nodded, smiling cutely, before being dragged away by his chattering friends.
“My man was for real blushing a lot.” She heard one of them snicker, making Zach playfully punch him across the shoulder, as they walked away.
Smiling to herself, Isabella continued walking the remaining two blocks to the doctor’s for her appointment.

Isabella sat in the comfy green sofa in the waiting room, as she read an article all about celebrity gossip. She suddenly felt her eyes widen when there was a page about her celebrity’s crush new girlfriend.
“Seriously dude. Another girl? <super>, when you’re rich and famous, you can’t get enough of anything.” She muttered to herself, shaking her head, before turning the page.
“Isabella Davis.” She heard the familiar voice of her doctor call out, a friendly smile on her face.
Grabbing her bag and standing up from her seat, Isabella walked up to her.
“Good afternoon Isabella. How are you doing?” Doctor Grace smiled, as she led her to the ultrasound room.
“I’m doing good, thanks for asking.” She answered cheerfully making Doctor Grace smile as they both walked inside the room.
Knowing the process of the whole ultrasound procedure, she made her way, carefully sitting on the clinical bed.
“Oh how exciting it must be for you to finally know the baby’s confirmed gender! I know how excited you’ve been for this day!” Doctor Grace smiled, putting on blue gloves, and getting the sonogram ready.
“Yes. I’m super happy to finally know my baby’s gender so I can properly address him or her” Isabella chuckled, lying back on the soft cushion of the bed.
“If you don’t mind me asking, where’s your boyfriend? Was his name Jared.. Or was it Jake..?”
“Oh Jayden. He um.. couldn’t make it again.” She awkwardly replied, playing with her necklace, as she heard Doctor Grace tsk.
“I thought you rescheduled the appointment for today because you were sure he was going to actually accompany you this time around.” Doctor Grace said, a puzzled look on her face.
“I thought he was..” Isabella whispered to herself.
Quickly forcing a smile on her face, she chuckled. “Jayden is just busy. I understand how hard and stressful it must..You know being in charge of a whole company. But he’s a determined man and I know he’ll do great things for the company just like his father.”
Doctor Grace smiled. “I could tell you really love your boyfriend. Ah, young love is really beautiful.”
Isabella giggled, feeling butterflies in her stomach as she thought about how much she really did love her amazing boyfriend.
“Okay dear, please lift your shirt up so we can get those results we’re both looking for!”
Isabella chuckled, lifting her shirt up and unbuttoning the button from her high waisted pants, her baby bump on full display now.
Applying a special lubricating jelly all over Isabella’s stomach, Doctor Grace carefully rubbed the transducer around her stomach, watching the screen to her left, and smiling as the clear image of a baby was shown.
“Congratulations Isabella!” Doctor Grace grinned from ear to ear as she turned to look at her tense figure. “It’s a girl!”
