lilmoox2: I think we have lush in singapore sometime back, but not sure if they are still available now. didn't know they don't test on animals!

a beautician once told me that the ingrediants in cover girl products are pore-clogging... not sure how true though

hi HB:

i just found this link online for tigi products and they accept international orders, in case you can't find them in salons in your area:

tigi products

i use a leave-in conditioner and i blow-dry my hair, which is slightly layered in front but one length, to mid-shoulderblade, in back and i like my hair really straight and shiny. so i use the leave-in conditioner called "ego boost."

i really like their products and they definitely don't test on animals! good luck! :veryhappy:

are pupa cosmetics tested on animals?

just found out that i nuonvi products (singapore brand) does not test on animals as well. like estee lauder and clinique, they grow skin cells in labs for testing. the sales assistant was friendly and good with her product knowledge :)

hb:: i just pm'd you abt pupa :scratchchin: but after MANY years of xperimentation and trial + error, i really like Clarins for skincare~~ liquid cleanser, toner for the different skin types, skin refiners, moisturizers, etc... but i also use estee lauder eye gel (works better for me than clarins) and estee lauder "fruition" which has alpha-hydroxy acids and really smooths the skin!

i would go back and try some less expensive cosmetics but i found that you really do get what you pay for in skin care. i noticed that my skin didn't look as good when i switched to other kinds of skin treatments. neither clairns nor estee lauder test on animals...

I haven't tried both clarins and estee lauder for skincare b4 but they sound good! :star: i was deciding between clarins and dermalogica skincare recently and settled for the latter as it's fragrance free ... so far so good:applause: i heard lots of raves about clarins skincare! :) are their sun protection products good?

the clarins suncare products are incredible! :applause: i use their sun block and they also have an after-sun gel that is very soothing for burns. i've also found this same after-sun gel is very effective when i get weird skin rashes and dryness (always in the wintertime  i'm so GLAD it's over! :faint: ).

what pupa kit did you get? the packaging looked so cute!! i'm such a sucker for fun happy colorful packaging :lollipop: :hypnotized:

how about simple products? the one with the "not perfumed, not coloured, just kind" tagline... are they cruelty free too? can't seem to find any info on the net.

I don't like PETA all that much, I find some of the things they do a bit over the top, but I'm glad they have this list! :applause: I don't like the idea of using something that was tested on animals, but I do use Clean & Clear (it's the only good moisturizer I can find!) :boggled: .

For people wondering, they test on animals to make sure it isn't going to hurt us. They usually use rats, because believe it or not, they are very closely related to us. I read that somewhere, but I'm having a hard time remembering where! :P

I'll have to see what else I can find. :scratchchin:

that list of 'companies that do test on animals' is really disturbing.most of the products i use are on it :(
from now on,i'm boycotting animal tested products.
the only thing my family really couldnt give up is clorox bleach.our dogs eat the BARF diet.it has all kinds of raw meat in it,and we really need a good disinfectant to kill all of the germs.I still feel terrible that they test on animals though. :(

actually, there's absolutely no reason to test on animals because 1) other makeup companies have already found alternatives, that's why they don't test on them anymore, 2) the companies that continue to animal test do so only because they don't want to spend the money to change the system their corporation has been supporting with their lab animal vendors for years and 3) i think if we as ppl are so much more intelligent, then we should know that if we drink foundation or stick a wand of mascara into our eyeball, it's going to produce bad results. you don't have to test an animal for that. plus, companies that use natural ingredients don't have to test since they're not using tons of lousy chemicals to test their products~~ and as anyone can tell you, ppl still have bad reactions to various cosmetics because of allergies unique to them.

how would you like to see South Paw stuck in a cage all blinded from a pointless mascara test?

PETA does what they do to get attention because otherwise, nobody would care at all, or even know what goes on~~

and if rats are so closely related to us, what is the missing component that makes it okay for them to suffer and be in pain but not us? they don't want to wear the makeup, we do, so leave the animals alone.

Well,I went out & bought products that aren't tested on animals.I bought face wash & body wash. They both smell really good.
They are made by Avalon & that compant doesn't test on animals & all of the materials re 100% vegan.A little on the pricy side, but no animals are being tested on.
The face wash is really great! I can feel my blemishes clearing up already!! it is a pineapple enzyme thing?? Ever heard of something like that?
If anyone wants more info on avalon,i'll be glad to give them some!

I didn't mean to sound as if I thought it was OK to test on them. ;D Whenever I buy things like lip gloss and shampoo, I always check to see if it says whether or not they tested on animals. A lot of the time it isn't even mentioned, but I still look.

Back to Basics doesn't test on animals. I won a bottle of their shampoo and conditioner at my sister's bridal shower, and it works great! It makes my hair soft and tangle free, I love it!
