Valerian Root (yes, an herb I can actually take!) is really good for cramps. It is also good for insomnia. I also like those new little heat therapy stick-ons that you can place next to your skin. They are great because they are so thin and you can wear them anywhere without anyone knowing! They really feel good on your tummy when it is hurting.

Also, a nice....long....scorching hot shower! Especially if you get backaches!

Of course, there is always the hubby....will you pleeeaaaaseee rub my back for me? [don't forget the soft puppy dog eyes though]

cramps are really bad for me..i usually feel like i'm gonna die.
i like to take a nice long hot shower(preferably sitting or lying down) with some kind of relaxing aromatherapy.

no, evening primrose works for everyone~~ i take 1300mg for the 2 weeks leading up to my Dot, along with calcium-magnesium supplements. i suffered for years, missing events i wanted to go to, laying in bed with a heating pad, until i found out abt these two natural supplements.

the other great thing abt evening primrose is that it helps minimize skin breakouts at this time of the month, too! the trick is that you must take it consistently for the two weeks before the Dot, and you might have to wait until the second month to see the full results, because these work by building up in your system~~

Glad I came across this, I usually just suck it up, no matter how bad it gets!

But I do find moving around helps. Sometimes it's hard for me to want to get up, because I'd rather just lie down, but if I really want to get rid of the cramps I will do stuff. Most of the time though my cramps are VERY minor, and sometimes just rubbing my stomach a bit helps. :)

evening primrose capsules are gelcaps, yellow, and are sold with vitamins and supplements~~ you can probably also get them in a health-food store.
