So I kinda can't believe this doesn't already exist...(Maybe it does...If it does, feel free to let me know.) But okay!

 

I'm making it, I guess. This is a new, updated version of said club which probably exists at some point in the timeline of HH's existence. It's fine, k?

 

So basically, I've gotten the idea that a lot—and I mean a lot—of HH members write. Whether that be poetry, original fiction, whatever. It's all writing, isn't it?

 

Anyway, basically a quick form that you don't have to fill out to join, but it'd be nice, you know? To get to know the writer side of each member 

 

This is supposed to be a little corner of HH where members can discuss things that have to do with writing, post their writing for fun or for critiques, or whatever. Although, if you do post a long work, I'd recommend you make your own topic and then provide a link for members here to follow there, so you get more recognition

 

I'm on Pinterest a lot, too, and oh boy, people loooove to use Tumblr posts on Pinterest. And a LOT of it is very helpful. So I'll probably post stuff like that from time to time. 

 

ANYWAY. I'm rambling. Sheesh. I guess I'm just so deprived of all social interaction that I've resorted to talking to myself while also talking to other members on a hamster forum which has been a kind of save haven for me for years. I'm just feeling super talkative and rambly today. What a mood.

AND. Do you like reading O-o?: Surprisingly, I guess, for someone starting a writing club, not that much. I do like it, but I prefer other activities. One small request. Please don't come at me with torches and an angry mob  )

Anyway, hello! I figured I should join since writing is the main reason I am still on HH and probably worth 90% of my post count ;))

Favorite thing to write (original fiction, poetry, etc.): fanfiction and hamster stories *ahem* quality original fiction. But in all serious, I love any form of writing that's creative (except poetry - doesn't compute in my brain). Recently I've been trying out blogging/journalism which has been fun! And as for fictional tropes I am a sucker for throwing in unholy amounts of fluff, hurt/comfort and memes comedy.

 

Do you have a favorite genre?: I'm a simple girl. I see gay and I read.

 

AND. Do you like reading O-o?: Absolutely! But give me the trashy stuff - I prefer to lose brain cells when I read instead of gaining them. (Just finished The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue which is a hilarious 18th century manhunt across Europe featuring a gay friends to lovers arc, a hardcore ace sister and a crew of incompetent pirates - would recommend!)

Favorite thing to write (original fiction, poetry, etc.): actually i've been meaning to get into poetry but i've kinda forgotten... however i still have made a few poems lmao. i make a lot more fictional stories though which i absolutely never finish because i'm so caught up on finishing them until they're done before posting but also that makes me unmotivated over some goal that's so far away.. but yeah ahahaha i do quite enjoy writing, but tbh i get way more ideas than the amount of time i actually spend writing. oh i also do scriptwriting/screenplays too !!!

Do you have a favorite genre?: uhhh yes. gay romance (i'm not sure why but maybe it's because i feel drawn to them), morality, mental health, those kinda things lmao. something that i will relate to, something that will make me cry, lmao. my friend made fun of me for reading this particular middle school book but i did absolutely adore it so it counts. and i do end up getting invested in trashy stories but they're the good kind of trash, okay >:0

AND. Do you like reading O-o?: yes but i honestly haven't read as much as i used to before quarantine. like i was just spitting books out day and night lmao but it was a lot harder once the pandemic hit. i'm still trying to have fun with reading but sometimes i'm picky (and my school doesn't have as many gay books as i'd like them to have... time to go to the public city library i guess) 

 

i currently have a bunch of long stories (i planned out a story back in april 2021, the story currently has like 60 pages but i'm so close to just making a second draft.. technically i already have but unmotivated me has barely started on that AHA - oh i'm also making this other one too) but i end up doing some short stories if i get a burst of inspiration lmao, plus they're a lot easier to finish too.

Like 8, but only because my 'actually writing' would be a lot more smaller LOL, otherwise it'd be 100% and that is so concerning.
