For me, I do a ton of writing and feel good about it, then come back a month or week or day later and delete it all because I hate it afterwards. I definitely worry that maybe it’s not good and there’s no point in writing, but generally after I’ve… done the writing? I hope this makes sense. I’d say it’s like a 6.5

It's like...You really like it as you write and you're like "oh, that was clever," and "oooh, that was really nice." And then you come back to it, and you realize it all feels like trash?

 

Because then yeah, I totally get you

For me, it's more like I completely hate it at first but I go back and read it and be like, "...wait now I'm invested??" But then I don't like it enough to finish it. :')

I'm like 7, which is kinda sad xD.

 

Probably an 8, only because the 'being mad at my characters for not obeying me' would be a lot smaller. I treat most of my characters like kittens. :>

7% - The being annoyed at my characters would be larger. They just do whatever they want and I can't control them...

Which of the stories.... Here's a random one: It’s hard to describe what happened to someone who wasn’t there, someone who doesn’t even know my planet exists. But I’ll try. This is my story.

GUYS. I found the thing a lot of us are talking about. 

 

But in meme format!

It was dark and silent. Pitch black, like a cloudy, moonless night. At least, it seemed dark.

Ooh very mysterious! I would definitely read on. 

 

If I was picky I'd recommend fixing up some of the grammar or using some more advanced vocabulary. "Pitch black, like a cloudy, moonless night" is written as a simile but doesn't make sense as one if you're referring to the sky. If you're referring to a room/place then it would be fine. If I were the editor and you're referring to the sky I would change it to "Pitch black - an overcast, moonless night". But if you're referring to a room/place then I'd change the first sentence to "It was silent in the darkened room". It helps set the scene for the reader, providing just enough information.

So I kinda can't believe this doesn't already exist...(Maybe it does...If it does, feel free to let me know.) But okay!

 

I'm making it, I guess. This is a new, updated version of said club which probably exists at some point in the timeline of HH's existence. It's fine, k?

 

So basically, I've gotten the idea that a lot—and I mean a lot—of HH members write. Whether that be poetry, original fiction, whatever. It's all writing, isn't it?

 

Anyway, basically a quick form that you don't have to fill out to join, but it'd be nice, you know? To get to know the writer side of each member 

 

This is supposed to be a little corner of HH where members can discuss things that have to do with writing, post their writing for fun or for critiques, or whatever. Although, if you do post a long work, I'd recommend you make your own topic and then provide a link for members here to follow there, so you get more recognition

 

I'm on Pinterest a lot, too, and oh boy, people loooove to use Tumblr posts on Pinterest. And a LOT of it is very helpful. So I'll probably post stuff like that from time to time. 

 

ANYWAY. I'm rambling. Sheesh. I guess I'm just so deprived of all social interaction that I've resorted to talking to myself while also talking to other members on a hamster forum which has been a kind of save haven for me for years. I'm just feeling super talkative and rambly today. What a mood.
