carrot baby food that's safe for hamsters (i think i herd some1 say no low sugar ? is it true ? ) mixed with crushed nuts ( not too many though because there fattening to hamsters ) placed in a silicone cupcake mold or a small bowl shaped object into the fridge with low fat yogurt or Greek yogurt is it safe ? and bits of strawberry on top . And if you try the recipe given it is only for syrian hamsters because of sweetness which could cause diabetes if eaten by a dwarf hamster! also any recommendations for the fruit on top ? not any citrus fruits or fruits that could give my hamster diarrhea or gastrointestinal distress from too much fruit and wateryness ?
princess hamster you should only use mild cheese 4 the cookin 4 lucy thing and most the things on it are fattening so should not be fed often and never use white bread to feed to your hamsters . cucumber should only be fed occasionally and not much of it should be given . seeds should not be fed a lot and if you do feed it to your hamster give only a bit .
you dont need to stop feeding it 2 coco just be careful what you put in and give mostly hamster dried assorted mix (12 g a day ) and dont give the treats very often as most are fattening . they should also be given a mix of fruit and veg but not 2 much and no summer fruits if you have a dwarf hamster !

Hi! Here is a recipe that I found that are made for hamsters! Enjoy!
Birthday Hammie Cake
Instructions:
Cut out three small hamster-size pieces of bread, then flatten them. Spread honey (not a glob) on top of the first piece . Place a small amount of fruit on it (check the pinned safe foods list). Place the second piece of bread on top. Spread some honey on it like before (again, not a glob of it) and place the veggies on it. Place the third piece of bread on top and spread with honey (not too much!). This time, sprinkle crushed nuts on top. I recommend feeding one small piece of the 'cake' at a time.
HEADS UP! SYRIAN HAMSTER ONLY RECIPE. THIS IS AN OCCASIONAL TREAT

1/4 of a banana
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon raisins
small squirt lemon juice
Mash up the banana and add a small squirt of lemon juice so the banana will stay fresh. Add the honey and raisins, then stir all together. Serve this in a small bowl separate from hamster food mix.

1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
1/4 cup of oats
1/4 cup of sunflower seeds
Mix ingredients together and serve to your pet hamster.
Hamster Biscuits
1/4 a teaspoon of peanut butter
1 box plain Cheerios cereal
variety of vegetables such as carrots, celery, bok choy
small dog biscuit or stale or fresh bread
bird seeds and sunflower seeds
small amount of cheese
Spread peanut butter on dog biscuit, stale or fresh bread. Stick cereal on top and press in some of your hamster's favorite small foods such as bird seeds or sunflower seeds. Next, press in vegetables around the Cheerios. Press cheese around the vegetables to cover. Have fun hiding the treat where your hamster has to climb to get it.
Hamster Bites
1/2 a banana
Some crushed cereal
Finely chopped apple or carrot
A handful of oats
First, mush up the banana and add oats and cereal. After this, add the fruit and roll into small, fingernail sized balls, the right size for your hamster to hold. Once this is done, put the balls into the fridge to harden slightly.
Make these tiny balls just the right size for your hamster to hold.
Hamster Birthday/Holiday Cake
Ingredients:
1 slice of wheat bread
1/4 cup of mixed fruits(bananas, strawberries, apples)
3 baby carrots
4 chopped up milk bone dog treats
Cut the crust off the wheat bread.
Put the mixed fruit, carrots, in a blender for about 10 seconds.
Spread the blended fruit/carrots on bread.
Sprinkle chopped dog treats on top.
Let sit for 2 hours or until topping gel (carrots/fruit) cakes the top of the bread.
Cut into 6 small pieces.
Feed to your hamster, and your hamster's hamster friends at his/her next holiday/birthday party!
CAUTION!
Be careful not to feed too much of these to your hamster, as it can get ill, and if given too much, it will store it in it's cheek pouch leaving it to harden on the delicate skin inside the cheek pouch. DO NOT GIVE TOO OFTEN!
Hamster Trail Mix

1.Mix the sunflower seeds, peanuts, and dried corn and mix it together.
2.After mixing that take the food and pour it in some peanut butter and mix it together.

In moderation, yes, they are. Definitely not something you'd give every day, but once a week as a treat is fine.
Mimette, I want your recipe

I love the cookin 4 lucy site! The dishes are so cute.

1. Chop up everything into small pieces.
2. Mix everything into a bowl.
3. Serve the salad to your hamster.
Make sure you remove any uneaten salad after an hour.
Enjoy and have fun!

Take a CLEAN popsicle stick and spread a very thin layer of peanut butter onto it. Take your hamsters food and drizzle it over it so your hamsters food sticks to the peanutbutter covered posicle stick. Then freeze the treat in the freezer. When you want to give it to your hamster take it out and wait 10-15 minutes for the treat to thaw out a bit and then give it to your hamster.

Anyway, the ingredients are: romaine lettuce (and I recommend the "greenest" lettuce available); tiny carrot strips; tiny strips of red cabbage; some tiny broccoli florets, and a small slice of sweet cherry tomato.
The salad was about 60% romaine lettuce, and 40% everything else (maybe about 10% per other ingredient).
I cut the individual ingredients up into small pieces with kitchen scissors as I added them to a mixing bowl, and, as for the cherry tomato: on a separate small plate, I first cut it into slices, and then quarters, and then finer and finer, and of course it basically turns to mush during this process, but I made sure that all of it (i.e., the little seeds, the juice and the flesh) went into the salad. (I think the tomato added an essential touch to it).
Then, when all the ingredients were in the bowl, I chopped it all up even finer still, again just using the kitchen scissors.
Lastly, a few drops of extra virgin olive oil...wetting it just to the point where it would stick together...but don't overdo it and make it sloppy.
(I was going to try adding a pinch of parmesan cheese, but I didn't have any. I don't know if that would've helped or not, but as it turned out they generally seemed to love it - inexplicably except for Hammy).
