Hahaha, Please don't fret...If an animal hissing at you means you are an abuser, then throw me in jail!

If your Hammie is hissing at you when you pick him up, try going back a few steps with taming. Even if he's already tame see if you can maybe regain some trust with him!
But him hissing could of been caused by a number of things, someone/you/something startling him, he was disturbed or he was just scared!....Or he's a grumpy butt...All are possible, haha! Don't fret and have patience! :goodvibes:

Thanks for the help

One time I was on YouTube and I saw a girl and a boy dying their hamsters and I told them not to do it next time and why they thanked me but did I do the right thing?

Sounds like you followed T.H.I.N.K. You gave them information in a HELPFUL and KIND way, so they listened. In this situation the boy and girl weren't abusive, they just didn't know any better.

So um here is a bit of a rant that should go here

I seen on I Instagram
That in china there is party thing to eat dogs and cats
So I wanted them to stop and this boy in my class is like " they only do it to dogs that bite" me and BFF : " no they don't!" "The boy is like : " ok.... I guess"
Ok then someone tells someone else and they said " there just dogs"

Makes me so mad !

People really need to realize that every problem can't be helped by posting. This is a great reminder.

I don't think it was directed at any post here, just in general. Though yes venting helps the viewer feel better... but venting at the problem probably won't fix it. :)

The point of the original post is to explain how we can turn those negative feelings into a productive action. Which feels better: yelling at someone on the internet for some problem, or convincing them to actually fix it? :)

Sometimes I think to my self what if I were that animal. Animal abuse is a horrible thing that should never happen to any animal. Things like this are just not humane so let's work together to stop it.

Exactly.

I remember when I was in kindergarten, and I was thinking of all the stuff I would want. Thankfully, I didn't get a hamster until last year and by then, I had surfed the internet so much I knew pretty good hamster care!

... Am I too off topic?

Yeah Animal abuse can come from just not knowing . It depends if they know about hamster care and use the animals for worse Then that's horrible but if it's because of lack of knowledge then you have to help them .

I've heard that people breed certain breeds of dogs primarily for culinary consumption. I don't know if this is true, but if it is, wouldn't it be the same as us cooking/eating chicken, pigs, cows, etc.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT ENCOURAGE ANIMAL ABUSE. This is just my curious side peeking round the corner.

To answer your question, it may be the same depending on your own opinion. Some people think it is the same, some people think differently. I won't post my own opinion here as it'll derail the topic.

Tip- I know money might be tight but maybe you could by the hamsters at the pet store or friends house, a new wheel, food, or toy.

So, what if you have a friend who is abusing their animals? I once had a friend who's friend was abusing her cat on purpose. What can you do?
